Welcome to the artist's website

My name is Darya. I am pleased to present my artwork to you
I am Darya Zaluskaya. I am an artist. My journey as an artist towards watercolor began in my childhood.
I am a creative person and have always been passionate about dance and music, as well as embroidery and patchwork, among many other creative pursuits.
As a child, my parents believed that any creative profession was not a real profession. In my teenage years, my career choice was decided for me by my parents. Instead of a creative career, I went to study economics after school.
My university years flew by quickly and joyfully. Then I got married and had a child. Naturally, I took maternity leave. However, I didn't allow myself to stay on leave for too long and returned to work, but not as an economist, rather as an assistant on a TV show production set. In one of the shows, there was a segment called "Do It Yourself," and thanks to this segment, I discovered the world of decoupage.
I immersed myself in this form of art, and after some time, I opened a studio where I conduct workshops (Creative Workshops) on this technique, participate in fairs, publish in magazines with tutorials, participate in competitions, and eventually opened my own art supplies store.
But I had a dream—to live by the sea, and it seemed unattainable. The idea came to me to sell everything and pursue my dream. Five years later, I changed my life and moved to Spain.
Here, I felt that I had found my place of power. I began to paint with watercolors. Here, at the age of 40, my journey as an artist began.
I have been learning to paint with watercolors for four years, attending an academic drawing studio. My choice is to be an artist, and I am moving forward in that direction.
